Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, that serves as a regional health care resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. CHH offers personalized attention from an expert team of caregivers and physicians that utilize advanced technology and clinical partnerships in a convenient, safe and comfortable patient environment. The APRN will be responsible to work within a 17-bed inpatient unit with close collaboration with the Medical Director, staff psychiatrists, and clinicians in a patient centered multidisciplinary treatment team approach. The daily patient work load will consist of 6-7 inpatients and approximately 0-2 consults on the floor. The APRN has prescriptive authority and licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through the State of CT Department of Public Health and is credentialed through the medical staff of CHH. SCHEDULE:Full Time (40 Hours) Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm. No Weekends or Call. EDUCATION The job requires a Master’s or other advanced degree in Nursing/APRN. NP certification and CPR certification required. The job also requires a CT APRN. DEA/CT Controlled Substance required. We take great care of careers.
