JOB SUMMARY

The LPN Residential Manager will serve a dual role acting in the capacity of Residential Manager and as a Licensed Practical Nurse. The LPN Manager will be responsible for all operations of a residence which supports people with intellectual disabilities who also require the constant presence of nurses (LPNs) due to their medical needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The LPN Manager will:

  • Maintain the health, well-being, and development for all the residents living within the home;

  • Provide ongoing staff supervision and development of staff working within the home, most, if not all, of whom are also LPNs;

  • Ensure the over-all maintenance, upkeep, and cleanliness of the home and that it meets LARC standards;

  • Maintain the homes compliance with state, federal, and LARC regulations;

  • Be responsible for the finances and assets of the home;.

  • Be responsible for the health, well-being, and development of individuals served by LARC as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Develop staff schedules and secure staff coverage for all shifts as needed.

  • Provides direct care as needed to ensure staff to resident ratios are maintained and in compliance.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING

  • High school diploma with three to five years’ manager experience with direct care experience or bachelor’s degree in related field.

  • 3 years of experience in a nursing/DSP position and working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

  • Must possess current CT LPN License.

  • Medication Administration Certification

  • Must have or get CPR/First Aid certifications

  • Possess mandated DDS and LARC certifications.

  • Must have or get PMT Certification

  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s license

  • Must possess excellent time management skills along with organization and interpersonal skills
