Agribank Fcb Senior Capital Markets Portfolio Analyst (onsite/hybrid) in St. Paul, Minnesota

Position Overview As a key member of the Treasury Team, you will be a part of AgriBank's mission to support the people who feed the world. The Senior Capital Markets and Liquidity Portfolio Analyst contributes to and enhances AgriBank's capabilities in portfolio management, investment/credit/market analysis, reporting, model validation, and data management. Analysis and reporting will be primarily within the investment and derivative positions of AgriBank's $25 billion investment portfolio, which includes Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Asset Backed Securities (ABS), money market and Treasury securities. This role contributes to the development, automation and enhancement of middle office reporting and process improvement initiatives as well as various ad-hoc projects. Duties include: Develops tools and analytics in support of trading, risk management, reporting, and middle office functions Supports AgriBank's monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on investments, derivatives, and liquidity Analyzes structured finance portfolio's risk and performance, to understand factors, drivers, and impacts; recommends solutions to improve risk adjusted returns Recommends and executes MBS and derivative trades after thorough market research and relative value analysis in accordance with regulations, policies, strategies, limits, performance targets and desk guidelines Supports analysis and preparation for investment and liquidity strategies, procedures, contingency funding and annual financial business plans Contributes to market research and identifies trends in interest rates, global macro-economic conditions, monetary and fiscal policies, and other emerging issues Manages structured finance and derivatives portfolio with guidance from Portfolio Manager Maintains strong working relationships with brokers and other counterparties Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, engineering, etc.) CFA certification or Master's degree preferred 4 - 6 years of related experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job Knowledge Intermediate knowledge of fixed income, MBS, and interest rate derivative markets and instruments Intermediate knowledge of financial markets and macroeconomic assessment Hands-on experience with automation and process enhancements Basic knowledge of cash & securities settlement operations and systems Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (VBA, Excel, Power BI, etc.) Intermediate proficiency in Bloomberg Professional Intermediate proficiency with structured query language (SQL) and relational databases Basic proficiency with either Python, R, C/C++, or Matlab preferred AgriBank will not sponsor a work visa (e.g., H1B, etc.) to fill this position.
