The Work Site Support Specialist is responsible for providing a work-based learning experience in a competitive integrated setting for eligible VR clients who are enrolled in high school. The Work Site Support Specialist will facilitate on-site support, as well as lead classroom discussion using ODEP’s soft skills curriculum for the development of employability skills in a real work environment. The Specialist completes necessary plans, reports and paperwork, as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:• Orchestrate students' work-based learning adventures within the Pre-Employment Training - Work Experience Program with VR.• Provide on-site assistance for students completing a combined 16 hours at specified workplaces over the course of four days each week, targeting 4 hours per day.• Blend 4 hours of soft skills training weekly into on-site experiences, scheduled flexibly throughout each day, covering opening and closing moments of each work shift.• Accompany students at work sites, helping them completely merge into the surroundings while arbitrating conflicts between colleagues and bosses as needed.• Generate plans, evaluations, and documentation as required.• Gather details about students through the introduction process, featuring conversations with students, relatives, VR counselors, and educators to discern their strengths, proficiency, capacity, desires, and occupational + extracurricular preferences.• Administer new-hire documentation, orientations, and weekly attendance records.• Chauffeur students to and from work locations as demanded.• Relay work site results and pertinent info regarding student progress to directors and referral providers as required.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:• High school diploma or comparable certification is mandatory; an affiliate's or bachelor's degree in a fitting discipline from a certified establishment is advantageous.• Preferably skilled in employment services, job coaching, business, sales, HR, or socioeconomic spheres.

Additional Qualifications:• Driver's license and reliable vehicle.• Powerful communication and interpersonal skills.• Empathy, sympathy, and a burning drive to benefit others.
