Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Manchester, New Hampshire

Description We are looking for a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our team in Manchester, New Hampshire. In this role, you will be overseeing all the accounting and financial activities of our company, ensuring accurate practices of all accounting methods and functions. You will work closely with the finance department, manage financial reports, and perform financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the finance department, ensuring the accurate practice of all accounting methods and functions.

• Maintain appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.

• Oversee all aspects of the company's month-end financial activities, including reviewing, recording, reconciling, and reporting.

• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to Department Managers.

• Manage the accuracy of the monthly project management reports and participate in the monthly meetings with Project Managers.

• Perform monthly reconciliation of all company bank accounts.

• Manage cash flow, including monitoring cash flow and preparing and maintaining cash flow reports.

• Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules.

• Oversee the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.

• Collect and analyze data about the company's operational costs.

• Prepare periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

• Oversee all AR activities, AP, and bank reconciliation activities as needed.

• Assist outside auditors with gathering necessary account information and documents to support audits.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and present findings to management. Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries is a must

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP systems

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
