Principal Financial Group Manager-Client Service NQ in Des Moines, Iowa

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Manager to join our Client Focused Non Qualified team. In this role, you’ll lead and mentor a team Client Service Managers with the goal of growing and retaining clients while mitigating risk and driving efficiency!

This role requires a strong leader with the ability to lead through change and be an effective change agent for our department. The Manager within Client Service will manage a division of our institutional client market to ensure high quality, efficient, and prompt services meeting customer expectations.

  • Developing relationships with multiple internal and external partners to ensure client service standards are met and client happiness is achieved.

  • Motivating, developing, coaching, and cross training staff to meet team strategies in an efficient manner.

  • Managing growth, retention, satisfaction and profitability of team's relationships, assets and plans and gather feedback on innovative solutions needed to maintain market position.

  • Assisting in identifying, setting and achieving metrics around efficiency, execution, staffing, documentation of process and other operational needs.

  • Resolving, owning and executing on escalated situations or issues of a critical and sensitive nature.

  • Participating in SWAT related activities and other projects.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, plus 5+ years related work experience required.

  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, operational, training, communication, organization, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • This position requires registration as a General Securities Representative (Series 7) or Investment Company and Variable Contracts Representative (Series 6) and Operations Professional. Candidates hired without the appropriate registration(s) will have nine months to acquire it.

  • Overnight travel may be required

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • Prior NQ experience.

  • Proven knowledge of retirement industry and company projects preferred.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$77350 - $147600 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
