Job Description Will work under the direction, instruction and supervision of the Lead plater and Operations Manager. Uses electroplating baskets or hooks to clean metal objects in tanks. Will clean objects or articles to be plated by immersing them in a succession of alkali, acid and water cleaning solutions. Will load by hand or basket with proper sizing and observes the material for cleanliness prior to the electroplating process. Upon completion of the electroplating process rinses them in water and dries them in an appropriate manner to avoid damage to parts. Will notify proper personnel when equipment is not operating properly or efficiently. Required to inspect work visually for cleanliness, appearance, coverage, finish, etc. Works with the Chemical Technician and/or Laboratory Assistant making solution additions or product checks. Must have sufficient ability, skill, and physical stamina to meet production standards and schedules as established by management, by following prescribed methods. Will be required to perform other duties as may be assigned.
