Job Description:

The Role: Vascular Sonography Technologist - Per Diem

Are you a skilled Vascular Sonographer searching for a role that offers flexibility, income supplementation, and a balanced work-life blend? Embrace the possibilities with our Per Diem Vascular Sonographer position at MaineGeneral Health.

The Work:

  • Perform clinical vascular diagnostic services.

  • Gather an accurate and comprehensive patient history and ensure thorough documentation.

  • Verify patient identification, and assess clinical symptoms, historical information, and overall physical condition to determine relevance to the requested ultrasound exam.

  • Interpret examination results and promptly report emergent findings to referring physicians.

  • Display a commitment to professional growth and competence by participating in educational functions within the department, including training.

  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, referring physicians and staff, nursing unit personnel, and medical center departments.

    You Have:

  • Vascular technology training beyond high school or an Associate degree.

  • Current ARDMS certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), is required.

  • 1 or more years of previous experience with a variety of modalities including extra cranial, venous, peripheral arterial, and visceral.
